My journey as an artist has had many roads that have lead straight
into forming my own decorative finishing company here in Denver,
Colorado. While receiving my BFA from the Maryland Institute
College of Art I was taking on mural commissions, painting
backdrops for local productions and rental houses, as well as
starting to dabble in faux finishing. I moved on to New York where I
spent a decade working as a scenic artist for film, television, and
theatrical productions. All the while working with independent
clients creating custom faux and decorative finishes for both
residential and commercial environments.
Since my move to Denver in 2002, I have continued to work on
productions here for the Colorado Opera, Denver Center of
Performing Arts, as well as many commercials and local films.
Creating Auricchio Designs has enabled me to have a special place
to concentrate on my love for interior embellishments. I believe that
my diverse experiences as a decorative painter working within all of
these genres enables me to offer unique design and decorative
solutions to the realization of an environment. Auricchio Designs is
the culmination of years of practice, action, and experiment. With
craftsmanship, creativity, and professionalism, I am proud to offer
over 15 years of experience filled with a rich knowledge of
techniques and applications.
