Mark Golden

William Cochran
William Cochran is a painter, designer and sculptor who works in collaboration with his partner Teresa and with design professionals in many fields. His public artworks have been called "monuments to human communion." They contribute to sustainable urban development and healthy communities. Working as a team, William and Teresa Cochran have pioneered mass-scale participatory processes and collaborate regularly with cities, design teams, museums and cultural organizations in public art planning and placemaking initiatives.

Dr. Kim Klimek, professor at Metropolitan State College of Denver, presents a the history of the guild stricture for craftsman, their role, evolution, and training systems. Where does metallic paint come from?
Listen to Andre Martinez discuss a journey he and his students embarked upon traveling deep into the Rocky Mountains to discover 2 abandoned white mica mines from the 19th century. They traveled for five days up to 10 thousand feet to discover the origin of metallic paint. Andre will discuss the process of transforming the mica that they back packed out of the hills into metallic paint. This lecture, rich with imagery, will give you an insight to paint making and expert information that not very many decorative painters have.
Foundation of fresco painting
ILia Anossov presents a lecture about the current state of fresco painting in the US. Showing historical and current fresco projects, ILia will be discussing the importance of permanent decorative mural in our society and the foundations of fresco painting.
Lori Wilson
Lori Wilson from Golden Artist colors will be talking about how to build your PDPA online profile. Golden Artist Colors has been exploring the Wiki platform for some of their projects and she is excited to share with you what she has learned. It can be confusing to work on the web in this way but once you get the hang of it you can build an online presence that will help boost your marketing and lead you to more job leads.
