Accreditation
The PDPA engages in conversation with the US Department of Education On Dec. 8th President and Education Chair Andre Martinez presented the decorative painting industry to the State Liaison and a Accreditation review committee in DC. This meeting opened the conversation about our unique industry and started the submission process for the PDPA to be recognized as a specialized accrediting body. There are many opportunities on this path to strengthen our industry and the PDPA is leading the way. Journeyman's Cipher
Working in conjunction with industry experts, the Professional Decorative Painters Association has made it possible for you to decipher your decorative painting education.
In 2010, the PDPA will be releasing an education guidebook called the Journeyman’s Cipher. The Cipher is a workbook for people aspiring to become great decorative painters. With evaluation and consultation from our industry experts, you will now have your passport to the craft in a similar method used by the guilds.
PDPA Content Rating System
PDPA Content Rating System announced If you are tired of signing up for a class only to find out it was too advanced or didn't have the content in it that you were looking for, all that nonsense is soon to change. At this years PDPA retreat the 2009 Advisory Board approved and launched a new content rating system for classes, books, and videos. Education Summit
Under the direction of our Executive Board the PDPA is planning on hosting an annual education summit that will be free to all members.
