Pascal Amblard

Pascal Amblard is a self-taught artist with over 15 years of professional experience in the field of decorative painting. Pascal began his artistic career painting small objects and toys. Pascal studied graining and marbling at the world-renowned Institute Superiore de Peinture Decorative de Paris (IPEDEC), and began offering his murals on a large scale through the Galerie Apparences in France. Pascal began instructing an intense 5-week program at the IPEDEC for painters who wanted to specialize in mural and Trompe L'Oeil. In addition to instructing at the IPEDEC, Pascal has taught at the The Finishing School in New York, Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC, Goteborg (Projekt Decorative Maleri) in Sweden, and Norrkoping (Palm Fine Arts) in Sweden and sits on the Board of Directors for the Professional Decorative Painters Association. In 2001, Pascal organized the 6th International Salon of Decorative Painting in Paris, France. In 2003, Pascal had the honor of displaying his works at the largest decoration show in Paris; Maison & Objet and has a personal exhibit in the Museum of Trompe L'Oeil in Periguex. Pascal has created works for private clientele, architects, designers, antique dealers, hotels and restaurants, both in France and abroad, notably the Hotel St. Jacques in Paris and the Chateau de Jallanges in the Loire Valley.
