The PDPA explores every possible association between technology and decorative painting: communication, business management, VOCs, mediums, vehicles; and we are committed to staying in touch with progressive methods. Our technology initiative is designed to advance the industry by exploring the possibilities for systems of change. This includes research which may result in economic indicators for decorative painting practices.

Chair: Nicola Vigini

Sub chair: Mark Cole

This project seeks to create a series of small publications that illustrate a historical timeline of the evolution of specific mediums and techniques. The objective is to provide information to the public, much of which is lacking, regarding decorative painting from present back to first evidence of decorative painting. This projects seeks to define decorative painting through a large body of its entire work.

Nicola Vigini has already started his first booklet about the history of european plasters and is currently seeking out sponsors. This is an ongoing project that is open to any other writers with the intent to produce as many publications as possible.
